Beca & Jack

We are jolly lucky here at Riverlands to meet some truly beautiful souls and these two are the epitome of good eggs. We just loved helping Rebecca and Jack plan their wedding. Not only were they delightful, kind and considerate – they also knew how to throw a damn good party. Beca told us how she put together her dream day at Riverlands Wedding Barns…

Venue – RIVERLANDS WEDDING BARNS, FAXFLEET.

Beca – “Kate & Ed were brilliant from our first meeting when I viewed the venue pre pandemic! They were easy to get in touch with and always there to offer support and advice. Their venue is beautiful, tucked away and very private, makes it feel like you could be anywhere in the world. Its relaxed atmosphere and gorgeous features mean its adaptable to almost anyone, and they have everything you could want.”

Tequila shots on the way into dinner and Beer Pong are guaranteed winners with your guests – we told you these guest knew how to throw a party!

Photography – KAZOOIELOKI Beca – “Richard and Christine, made us feel so at ease in front of the camera. Their passion and vision came across throughout, meaning we felt that our photos were as important to them as they were to us. We loved their style of story telling through photos, and turned out way better than we ever imagined. We will forever be thankful for what they did for us. “

Styling – BORN BOHO

Beca: “Claire did an incredible job styling the venue. I knew she had worked there before, and had worked with our florist before, and this worked out amazingly. She had plenty of ideas and was able to co-ordinate with everyone to make our vision come to life, way better than expected.”

Food – BLUES CATERING Beca: “Blues were recommended by Kate & Ed, and thank goodness they did. Their blended style of relaxed shared food, with a top dining experience, made our wedding meal a real highlight of the day. Their food was delicious! Our guests have not stopped telling us how much they loved it, and so did we. “

Florist – FLORAL AND LACE Beca: “Zara was simply amazing! We basically gave her free rein for our wedding. I wanted vibrant colours and for the flowers to be the stand out decor for the day. Wow did she deliver. She was so easy to chat to, and had so many ideas that she seemed so passionate about, I loved working with her and would recommend her to everyone.”

Bridal dress – GOLDIES BRIDAL (Pocklington)

Beca: “I did a lot of my dress shopping during lock down, so this meant a large amount of time scrolling social media. I had no idea what I wanted really, but Goldies Instagram looked beautiful, and I could imagine everyone of those dresses on there at my venue. That’s why I booked an appointment. The stylist was great, she gave advice and adapted from my likes and dislikes throughout, until we landed on the one. It was a beautiful, easy and enjoyable process and I wish I could relive it 100times over.”

Groom & Groomsmen – SLATERS

Beca: “Wonderful staff and a massive selection of suits! Very helpful in our visits there, the staff keep track of all fittings, suits and collections, making it super easy for the full party to go in whenever best suits them to get things sorted. In house tailoring meant the whole process was easy and everyone’s suits fit perfectly.”

Bridesmaids – BRIDE & CO

Beca: “A beautiful selection of bridesmaid dresses, in lovely materials and lots of colour choices. The staff in the shop were wonderful, friendly, professional and very easy to get hold of, and with four girls to co-ordinate try ons and fittings they were so helpful with appointments!”

Hair – UNITY RHODES

Beca: “Unity made miracles happen with my hair! I didn’t have much faith in my hair before my trial appointment, not giving it much thought because I thought I might be limited. She proved me wrong. I gave very little direction, and she took it and ran with her and my ideas, making me feel beautiful. On the day she fit right in with all of us, feeling like more of a friend than someone I had hired.”

Make up – KATE MARSHALL Beca: “Kate made me feel stunning. She was professional and knew exactly what my skin suited and needed. She adapted her style to each of my bridal party, and each one was happy with their look. Just like Unity she fit right in with us all, again another friend gained on the morning of my wedding, and I can’t wait to find an excuse to go back to her.”

Music – The Wilde Ones through Jonny Ross Music

Beca: “We had Liam, the singer from the band, with us for our drinks reception, and his voice was stunning and he provided the perfect entertainment for those pre-meal drinks. The band really set the party off! Their song choices and ability to get people dancing was amazing. They set the tone for an amazing night. My guests loved them and haven’t stopped raving about them.”
