Riverlands is a wedding venue for people looking for something authentic, relaxed and rustic with the freedom to create a wedding, event or celebration which fits you.
It is owned and run by husband and wife Ed and Kate on their family farm in East Yorkshire. The Riverlands team works tirelessly to ensure you have the most wonderful day of your lives and that your guests are well looked after. Everyone is given a very warm welcome.
The historic listed barns are set beside Trent Falls, where three waterways meet. This stunning riverside location is unique and magical. It is surrounded by countryside and next to a nature reserve, so you can enjoy peace and tranquillity, whilst being just a short drive from major road and rail links. The remarkable views and backdrops provide you with a wealth of unusual photo opportunities.
You can get married in the licensed 18th century brick barn, enjoy drinks and games in the courtyard and garden, chill by the fire-pit on leather Chesterfield sofas, and eat, drink and dance in the wooden party barn. All the facilities are exclusively yours for the duration of your event, to give you complete privacy. You can stay on-site in the beautiful Swallow’s Nest Cottage (sleeps 6) with hot tub, the Shepherd’s Hut (sleeps 2) or you can camp. There are plenty of local accommodation options available too.
We want you to feel at home here, so you get the day before to set up and the following morning to collect your decorations.
At Riverlands you have the flexibility to create your own bespoke day, while always having support to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Whether you are having an intimate or large celebration, Riverlands is an idyllic setting in which to create wonderful memories.
At Riverlands we pride ourselves on being eco – conscious. We ask all couples to consider the environment when planning their wedding, by minimising plastic and other unnecessary waste. And we plant at least one tree for every wedding here. We have already planted thousands of trees since we began this project in 2017 and we plan to plant many, many more. We strive to work with and for our planet.
