One supplier that we see our couples choose again and again is Kazooieloki – a talented, award-winning wedding photography duo. Known for their authentic, moment-driven photography style, Kazooieloki has captured some of the most beautiful memories for our couples here at Riverlands. We were lucky enough to catch up with them and hear about their experiences at our venue, as well as their unique approach to wedding photography. Here’s what they had to say…
When did you first shoot at Riverlands?
“We first photographed at Riverlands in June 2019, for Samantha and Tom’s wedding. It was an incredible day, and we were lucky enough to get the wedding featured on Rock My Wedding. That wedding truly marked the beginning of our relationship with Riverlands, and since then, we’ve been back many times, each time capturing something new and special.”
What is your favourite memory from a Riverlands wedding?
“We’ve had so many incredible moments at Riverlands over the years – from truly emotional ceremonies to some unforgettable dance floor moves. However, one standout memory that still gives us goosebumps was Rachel and Tatum’s wedding in July 2024. The couple made their grand entrance to the Barn just before the speeches to the song ‘Feeling Good.’ The energy in the room was electrifying. It was such a powerful, emotional moment, and every time we think back on it, we remember the incredible presence they both brought. That moment, in particular, will always be one of our favourites.”
Tell us a bit more about Kazooieloki and why couples should book you for their big day!
“We are super passionate about what we do and are dedicated to capturing weddings in a way that’s genuine and emotional. We were honored to be named the Wedisson World Wedding Photographer of the Year, and we’ve also won the UK Wedding Photographer of the Year award twice. Our style is focused on natural, moment-driven wedding photography. We don’t believe in staged or overly posed shots; instead, we capture the true essence of the day as it unfolds. Our approach is very much about telling the story of the wedding day through real moments, while infusing an editorial, artistic touch to the couple portraits.
Our goal is to give life and energy to each photograph, making sure it’s a true reflection of what actually happened, not something that’s been carefully constructed. Every wedding we photograph has its own unique vibe, and we always strive to shoot it in a way that feels personal and authentic to the couple. We don’t like to fit into just one category of wedding photography; our style is entirely ‘Kazooieloki,’ and we’re proud of that.”
What is your favourite part of a wedding to capture?
“We’re sentimental at heart, so the moment when the couple first sees each other is always a favourite. The emotion in that moment is hard to beat. It’s raw, genuine, and full of love. But we also have a soft spot for the energy on the dance floor – those moments of pure joy, laughter, and celebration are always so much fun to capture. It’s where the real magic happens, and it’s incredible to freeze those moments in time.”
What advice would you like to give to our couples still to celebrate their special day with us?
“Our best advice would be: be yourselves. Your wedding is all about the two of you as a couple. Don’t feel the need to conform to traditional expectations or follow trends. Do your wedding your way, and you’ll have the best day of your lives. At the end of the day, it’s your love story, and it should be celebrated in a way that’s true to you both.”
