AMIE and Richard achieved the holy grail of weddings…a big celebration with over 120 guests and yet managed to make it feel super relaxed. OK, so as their wedding venue we like to think we at Riverlands Wedding Barns played a part in that achievement. But they made several choices which guaranteed the day felt super chilled. Their gorgeous attitudes, delightful guests, top notch suppliers and a grazing table was the winning combination. Having rescheduled their wedding four times due to COVID, it is hard to believe they could be as easy going as they were. And yet even with a toddler (beautifully named Wren) to please and a heap of postponements behind them, they were a total dream. Amie and Richard were married at Riverlands wedding barns in a beautiful, relaxed ceremony, followed by an epic feast on a grazing table, surrounded by Bohemian decor. Amie tells us about her suppliers and how she came to choose a relaxed Boho barn wedding with a grazing table…
Venue: Riverlands
Amie: “After finding Riverlands Wedding Barns online we knew this venue was for us. Originally we viewed the venue in 2018, we booked it straight away for our wedding to be May 2020. Of course, the pandemic hit and that meant we had to reschedule our wedding in the uncertain times. In the end we had four weddings planned and rescheduled, we finally married in June 2022, Kate and Ed were so accommodating and understanding and we can’t thank them enough.”

Photography: Luis Calow Amie: “Luis was recommended to us by our videographer, Andrew. We fell in love with his candid photos and loved how he captured such special moments without us knowing”
Videographer – Tregoing Weddings
Amie: “It was always a must to have Andrew and Hannah from Tregoning weddings to video our wedding.”
We love the candid and relaxed nature of Amie and Richard’s wedding photos and videos…totally stunning.
Food– Annika’s Apron
Amie: “Annika’s Apron supplied the food for our guests. As we had to reschedule our wedding date many times due to the pandemic, Anikkas Apron saved the day by booking us in at short notice and my word, I’m so glad they did. We opted for a grazing table. The food was incredible! So many guests even now talk about how unbelievable the food tasted at the wedding.”
Styling– Born Boho
Amie: “Claire from Born Boho styled the venue so beautifully. The colour scheme was all white, minimalist with dried flowers and candles to fill the space.”
We love the relaxed, Bohemian style which fits perfectly with the rustic barn surroundings.
Tip: It is super Eco to hire your décor rather than buy it. Born Boho has a special price list for Riverlands on their website. She can even dress it for you!
Flowers– Of the Wild, Sheffield.
Amie: “Of The Wild created my beautiful dried bouquet. For the bridesmaids, we made a night of it with some fizz and nibbles and got creative, we made foliage bouquets for each bridesmaids with white linen ribbon.”
Hair: The Mill Hair Studio
Amie: “As the owner of a salon, who better than to have my good friends styling my hair on the wedding morning? Loren Oxley and Catherine hall from The Mill Hair Studio styled everyone’s hair on the wedding morning “
Makeup:
Amie: “We had two makeup artists on the morning of the wedding to make sure the morning went as smoothly as possible. Stacey fletcher and Chloe Gray.”
